Bangkok!
21 april 2016 - Bangkok, Thailand
So, we've arrived in Bangkok! It took us quite a while and we've already met a bunch of cool people on the way :) after 6 hours on a pretty luxurious plane to Qatar, we spent about 7 hours at the airport that was open all night, luckily. After sleeping for a few uncomfortable hours, we flew to Bangkok on the most ridiculous plane I have ever seen. It was two stories high and had 80 rows. As if that wasn't enough already, it also had free wifi! You should've seen our faces..
Our arrival in Bangkok started smoothly but when we got off the train in the middle of Bangkok, we we're very happy to run into a nice Swiss guy that helped us get a taxi to our hostel. (Not that he'll ever read this, but: thank you again, Frank!) After checking in and processing the fact that we had a rooftop all to ourselves with an outdoor shower (what?!), we walked around and had dinner at 23.00 (hello jet lag!). We then had a beer with a cute couple from England and tried to sleep off our jet lag.
Today we met with our two other awesome travel buddies, Marieke and Ide, and are recovering from our first impressions of this insanely busy and hot city :) will write more later!
